A J Clark construction compliments the flooring division.
In order to provide a "one stop shop" for our clients, we
are able to undertake supplementary works to concrete flat
slabs.
Also, in keeping with being a concrete specialist
constructor, we currently possess the expertise to construct
complex concrete structures.
Targe Biomass Boiler - UPM, Irvine
The Targe biomass boiler project was commissioned by UPM
of Finland in 2007 to meet their ever demanding needs to
reduce their carbon footprint and provide a greener
environment
"After an extensive tender process we appointed the A J
Clark Group as our principal civil contractor on October
25th last year. The civil project element is in the
region of £8m of a £70m project and this project is amongst
the largest renewable energy projects in the UK.
One year on I can safely confirm that we have been
correct with our appointment and I have absolutely no
hesitation in recommending the company as they have exceeded
our expectations and we have met all project milestones" -

"The Egg" - Napier Business School
A J Clark was contracted to install and complete sub and
super structure works, comprising 3 separate buildings; the
3 storey insitu concrete business school, a single storey
insitu concrete 200 seat lecture theatre and a 100 seat
lecture theatre known as the Egg.
The Egg was to form the centrepiece of the development
having a modern curvaceous titanium and glass facade sitting
on probably one of the most complex concrete structures AJ
Clark has ever constructed. Not only was the
complexity of the insitu concrete structure a massive
challenge, but also achieving the high quality aesthetics of
the exposed concrete finishes demanded by the architect.
Whilst the Egg was only one section of A J Clark's works
on the project, it was certainly the most challenging and
the most rewarding in terms of delivering such a complex
structure on time and within budget.
The total value of A J Clark's work was £2.5m.

Elliot Street - Glasgow
The project was for the construction of a flatted
development at Elliot Street in Glasgow, comprising two
separate tower blocks complete with multi-storey parking.
As the project was effectively a city centre location, the
scheduling of material and plant deliveries together with
site activities, whilst interfacing this with the other site
trades was a challenging task.
It is a testimony to A J Clark's expertise that this was
successfully achieved with minimal disruption to the
construction process. A J Clark was employed to
construct the 6 and 11 storey insitu concrete car park.
The value of A J Clark's work was £1.2m.
